Trivia and Tidbits:

	* Dott's maiden name is Matrix. This is obviously a play on the term “dot matrix” which was a printing technique in the earlier days of computers, where dots were printed on the page to form letters and pictures. In Issue 154, Blip jokingly asks Dott if her name stand for Dot Comm.

These: are smilies. You see them all the time on the Internet; in forums, on blogs, in the sidebars. But what do they do while the page isn't loaded? Where do they go when no-one's looking at them? Do they have lives behind the scenes, inside the computer, which we are unaware of?

Gimmicks and Continuity

Sometimes the writers of the strip have to use some gimmicks or cliches in the strip. This can be deliberate as a joke, or simply as a much-needed technique to keep the story going. Listed below are some of the tricks that have been sprinkled around the site.

Computer References

This section will list the various computer terms and references that are incorporated into Bitmap World. This includes anything tech-related, such as video games and hand-held devices. Pop-culture and literature references should go in their appropriate category.

Locations and Brands

As with most of the other things in Bitmap World, the names of the cities, building, businesses often are significant in meaning, or simply parody.

As with most of this Wiki, this section will most likely contain spoilers about the strip. If you haven't read it, we suggest you do so now! If you want to quickly get up to speed, try our condensed version. (Condensed Version is current under construction)
