July 8, 2008 - A small announcement. We have decided to skip doing a Booyah this month. This is a last minute announcement, but not really a last minute decision. Typically we take July "off" from our major website updates so we can relax and spend some time with our family. We didn't want to put Bitmap World on hiatus for that long and planned just to go with our regular schedule, then realized a bit late that were being a bit overambitious thinking we could pull a Booyah off too. So, we have decided to just keep up the regular update pace through July, and plan to have a great Booyah in August. So, we are extending a "sorry" for the short notice, and "thank you" for you understanding. On another note, check out our forums! We're lonely there! We want to get some more members in there and start some chatter. Okay? Maybe if we can get a few more people posting, we'll put up a bonus strip in the next week or two. Deal? July 2, 2008 - Just a quick note. Normally, the Booyah would be on the first Tuesday of the month. However, due to the Fourth of July holiday, we'll have it on this upcoming Tuesday, instead. We have some fun plans for the Booyah, so be sure to check back. On another note, we are planning to have a comic up on Friday. July 4th. June 24, 2008 - There was no comic today, because I had a paying freelance job. But it was only a one-day job, so, yes, there will be a comic tomorrow. -- Ravenswood June 17, 2008 - Finally, our June Booyah. Let's cut to the chase: • 4 new comics! 3 from the planned Booyah, and our regular Tuesday update. • 2 new Blog entry. These are pretty long, so grab a coffee or coke. • New Quick Strip. A quick and easy way for new readers to jump into Bitmap World! • New Build Your Own Comic Maker Gallery submissions. • In the Bonus section, we've created a special section for our almost-as-good-as-the-comic Late and Filler Strips, as well as a new section called Other Stuff, where we feature a strip inspired by question submitted by Mirz. Thanks again for the patience guys. See you on Friday with a bit of a special strip. June 16, 2008 - This is the first time we've ever completely missed an upate. We've been late before (too many times!) but never missed one. Unfortunately, with Michelle sick there was just no way to get one done in time. We have enough that we will be able to finish everything tonight and have it up tomorrow. We appeciate all the concerns and well-wishes everyone has expressed, and we thank you guys for being such great fans. June 14, 2008 - Michelle has been very sick the last few days. We have had to take a few days off of the comic in order for Michelle to rest up and get better. We're still planning on trying to get the Booyah done sometime this weekend, so keep checking back. June 11, 2008 - We apologize for the typo in yesterday's News entry. It was supposed to say that the Booyah will be this Friday, during our regular update. June 10, 2008 - Part of our "Booyah" for this month involves a programming project which is taking longer than expected. We hope to have it ready by Thursday. We apologize for the delay. In the meantime, today's regular comic will be up sometime tonight. June 7, 2008 - Darn! Missed the midnight deadline (for technically getting the strip up on Friday) by 9 minutes. Grrr. But, it's up! Booyah on Tuesday and we'll comment on the recent strips as well as all the regular goodies. June 5, 2008 - Computer woes again, thus the delayed comic. Normally, we would have done our Booyah on Tuesday, but we are celebrating the 5th anniversary on one of our other sites, so we have focused on doing special stuff for that. However, we haven't forgotten you all. We are planning our Booyah for this coming Tuesday, June 10th. On a special note, July is an "off" month for us with respect to some of our other sites, so we are hoping to spend a lot of time and attention to Bitmapworld and Family Webcomics. We hope to do an extra-special Booyah then, and finally get a few things done on those sites which we have been putting off. Hope everyone is having a great summer. We'll be here tomorrow with a new strip...hopefully on schedule.
