April 2, 2009 - We're working on another project right now, so Bitmap World has had to take a back seat for the past few days. But we're getting back on it and we'll have both Tuesday's update and Friday's on Friday (tomorrow). So be sure to check back then for better-late-than-never goodness.
March 24, 2009 - Maybe we got too ambitious, but we figured as long as we were making changes on the system, we would add some extra functionality. Of course, this ended up delaying us further, but we believe that the new changes will be worth the wait. See you soon! March 24, 2009 - We're still planning on the Booyah today--though admittedly it may go up tonight. Since we are re-doing parts of the site, we have a bunch of little details which we are still working on. We're excited, though. So, be sure to check back. Lots of fun stuff in store. March 23, 2009 - Yeah, we know. We promised the Booyah! But we're not renigging, we're simply swapping our plans out. We spent all weekend working on our big site revamp and simply fell a little short in the time category. So, we have a new comic today and the Booyah tomorrow. Again, many of the changes will not be obviously seen, but we are sure once it's up and running, and you see all of the other goodies we have planned, it will be well worth the wait. See you tomorrow! March 21, 2009 - You will probably see by the leprechaun joke that this was our planned strip for Tuesday. As we announced a couple days ago, we are working on a major overhaul of the site's backend. That has been really pre-occupying our time, but we are really happy with how things are turning out. So, be sure to check back on Monday! March 19, 2009 - Quick heads-up. The Booyah *may* be delayed until Monday (yes, Monday--with another planned updated on Tuesday). Reason being that we are making some big changes to the backend of Bitmap World which will help us update quicker and easier and keep things running smoothly. On the front end it will give users the ability to "connect" with us more, including commenting on individual strips. Problem is, there is an update to the software coming out in the next day or so, and we may not get it before Friday. We think this is a big enough deal to hold things off through the weekend. We *do* plan to have a new comic up tomorrow. However, the big stuff will be held-off until Monday. Now, there is a possibility it will be up in time, but for now we just wanted to give our readers a heads-up! March 18, 2009 - Today, we're doing an impromptu Birthday BYOC. Hope you like it. Storyline will continue on Friday. Until then, there's a bit of news to announce... First of all, we are very proud to announce that Family Webcomics is open for business once again. If you are not familiar with is, FWC is a unique listing sites that focuses on providing readers with detailed information on a comic's content. The goal is to allow individuals, parents, and educators to evaluate comics and see if they are right for their families. As parents ourselves, this service is invaluable. There are just so many webcomics out there, and it can be so difficult to find the family-friendly ones. There are a few collectives like Lunchbox Funnies, but for the mostpart it can be hit-or-miss when you are trying to find something safe for your younger children. Much of our spare time (including Bitmap World drawing time) has been focused on our last push to get Family Webcomics up and running. The site had closed down a few months ago as we did a major overhaul of the system. It was a ton of work, and a lot of coffee, but it's done and we couldn't be more pleased. So, get on over there and check it out. Family Webcomics.com As for Bitmap World, as we mentioned, our schedule has now opened up a bit. And we are working on our long promised and overdue Booyah! This is a special Booyah as it is BMW's 2nd anniversary! Yes, 2 years of following the live and adventures of the Pixels. We decided to do a short filler today and focus on getting several strips done for the Booyah on Friday, as well as a bunch of other goodies. So, be sure to come back on Friday as we get out the party hats and streamers to celebrate! We'll also be announcing the start of another contest with some cool prizes. As always, we thank our fans for their loyalty and support. This has been such a great thing for us and we are so looking forward to our 3rd year on the strip. March 10, 2009 - Filler comic today. Very burned out from a project we have been working almost 24/7 on (that's why we're been around so little to all our friends on the forums). We're *almost* done with it, but we just didn't have the energy to do another comic today. Didn't want to leave you with nothing, so we decided to have a little, mindless fun. Mirz found this meme linked on another webcomic--it was more like a link-to-a-link-to-a-link. Nevertheless, it's basically a set of words, some nonsense--some not, and you are supposed to draw the expressions. Mirz scanned our smiley collection, and made a few new ones too, and managed to come up with a pretty good selection. What do you think? Then Michelle caught it and all bets were off. So, we apologize. We hope after our recent run of "on-time" strips you'll forgive us. We're going to have 2 strips up for tomorrow's update. Until then, pass the cough medicine... January 30, 2009 - We've been really proud about getting all our updates done on time lately. But this week we've had a house full of sick kids, and we just haven't had enough time to devote to the comic. We'll get a new comic up Saturday, so it'll be just one day late.
