Bitmap World: The Story, The Characters
Bitmap World is a comic about a group of smilies who live inside a computer server. Their world is a digital playground, which mirrors our world in many ways, but is far different in others. The story predominantly follows the lives of the Pixels, a family that has just moved into the area. Of course, as in real life, their new home is filled with lively characters, and more than a few strange occurences. Below are a list of characters who inhabit this techno-world. Readers may find it helpful to acquaint themselves with the main characters, since it can give a better understanding of what is going on. There is also a large supporting cast, which we list for those who want to know the nitty-gritty about the strip. However, it is not necessary to be familiar with those characters to follow the strip.
Main Characters
The Pixels
	Harry Pixel - Harry and his family used to live in a PC, until his job transferred him to the Server. He works at the helpdesk of the CPU.		Dott Pixel (nee Matrix) - Stay-at-home mom of five kids. A domestic maven, she keeps the Pixel household running smoothly, if not quietly.
	Harry 2.0 (a/k/a Leroy) - The oldest of the Pixel children, he's a typical 16 year old boy--for better or worse.		Cyan - A bit on the quiet side, 15 year old Cyan craves adventure...and just may get it in Bitmapworld!
	Ada - A rambunkious 10 year old, she is clever and daring, and awfully cute.		Maxint (a/k/a Max) - A bit shy, Max likes the things most 7 year old boys do: sports, games, and a little bit of mischief. He's a spitting image of Harry, in more ways than one.
	Microchip (a/k/a Mike) - The baby of the family, he's just about 2 years old. He doesn't say much, but he has the uncanny ability to get what he wants with a smile.		Skippy - The family dog. Max found him and everyone immediately fell in love with precocious pup. He eventually won over the heart of the only hold-out, Harry. New to the Pixel household, it's yet to be seen what impact he'll have on their little world.
The Smileys
	Mr. Smiley - He's a mysterious fellow, whom the neighbors know little about. One thing they do know, he hates kids...especially when they are on his lawn.		Mrs. Smiley - Folks know little about her. Some wonder if her mystery is more mysterious than her husband's.
The K's
	Verde - A member of the mayor's staff, he lives next door to the Pixels...and is secretly happy he doesn't live next door to the Smileys!		Chartreuse (a/k/a Char) - Bubbly and friendly, she is an expert on the neighborhood...and everyone in it. Priding herself on her green-thumb, she has the best garden on the block.
	256 (a/k/a "Tooey") - He's 15 years old, and like his mother, a master of knowledge about the neighborhood. His favorite things are music, junk food, and Cosmic Dungeon.		Emerald - Don't let her pink bow fool you, she's smart and sassy, and can beat Tooey at rock-paper-scissors 85% of the time.
The Decimals
	Blip - Head of the less-than-glamorous Customer Support Department, Blip knows everything about the Macrohard, including several dark secrets. Blip has a few secrets of his own, which is he not willing to share with anyone...particularly his cubicle-mates. Only time will show what they are, and if Harry will ever find out.
Supporting Characters
The Emoticons
	Zapf - An "old-school" icon, Zapf made his living in chat rooms, until he retired a few years ago. He is still known to have a sharp wit, and even sharper tongue...and he always has a smile.		Veronica - An expert at searching, Veronica can find just about anything. What she most likes to look for her is her "baby," Nyanko.
	Nyanko - A japanese emoticon, Nyanko is a playful kitten who is sweet, loving, and totally in charge of the Emoticon household.
The Bus Stop Gang
	Beanie - An unusual fellow who prides himself on his sense of style. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Gif - The unofficial leader of the Bus Stop Gang. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	Lan - If his friends all jumped off a bridge, he'd be right behind them. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Mari - An internet expert by day...and by night. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	Mac - An opportunist, Mac makes a decent income off the Bus Stop Gang. His favorite hobbies are fast cars and needlepoint.
Macrohard
	Rip - Head of the User Support Department What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Dither - User Support's graphics guy. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	Joel - User Support's software guy. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Korn - The only User Support tech who knows everything. Really, he does. Really. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	Leet - The only User Support tech who knows everything. And don't you forget it! What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Root - A User Support tech, Root is a bit unconventional, in more ways than one. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	The Rabbit - The current New Employee Liason, Mr. Bunny (as he is affectionately called by the janitor) is a soft and happy beacon in the hard, cold corporate world of Macrohard.		Mr Domain - Manager of the IT Support Department, he's high on the totem pole, one level above Rip. Mr. Domain always insures that his department appears to be running smoothly and his employees appear to be happy, whether that's the case or not.
	Ssid - A model employee and a hard worker, Ssid was singled-out at work for failing to participate in the annual extortion for charity drive. He spend most of his days hiding out from management and Allied Pay representatives.
Ball High School
	Cisco - The coolest guy in school. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Awk - The oldest son of the Ffooff family, and Cisco's best friend. What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!
	Meme - The most popular girl in school--and she doesn't have a boyfriend! What dark secrets does this character hold? Only time will tell!		Dren - The meanest nerd that ever walked the earth, Dren rules the school with an iron fist. Isn't there anyone who can end this tyranny????
Other Characters
	The Paperboy - The scourge of the neighborhood, and Harry's arch-nemisis. Who is this blur of screeching metal and newsprint? The mystery continues...		The Neighborhood Watch Lady - A friendly figure in the neighborhood, she is determined to keep the sector free of errors. Having been around the block many times, she sees and hears a lot, and can be quite the chatterbox if motivated.
	Fanboy - Max's best friend and classmate. And yes, he really wears that propeller every day!		Twitter - The object of Max's secret crush, she likes Max too, and even tolerates his dog.
	Dev Nul - He studied to be a marine biologist but ended up in the exterminator business. He's good at getting rid of possums, but has troubles with monkeys and giraffes.		The Monkey Mustafa - A mysterious figure with the mystical ability to befriend monkeys.
	Threepbrush - The Monkey Mustafa's able assistant. He can hold his breath under water for 10 minutes!
