 In late March, 2008, we went several days without an update because we were moving to a new server. This meant that our IP address was going to change, and if you know anything about how the internet works you know that IP address changes are always a headache and a nightmare. For some reason,* whenever you change a website's IP address, some people can get to the new site immediately, an some still see the old site (often for several days). This was a comic we put up onthe new site to let people know they'd gotten there. * Actually, I know what the reason is. And it appalls me that the internet works this way... But that's a rant for another time. |
